Barn Wedding Restroom Checklist for Nebraska Venues
Barn and farm venues around Grand Island are beautiful, but most were built for cattle and hay, not 150 guests. Use this checklist before you sign for restrooms.

Does the venue have power and water for a trailer?
A restroom trailer needs a garden hose that reaches a spigot and a dedicated 20-amp, 120-volt outlet within about 100 feet. Many barns have outlets on shared circuits that trip when the DJ powers up. Ask the venue which outlet is dedicated, or plan a generator of 3,500 watts or more.
Can the truck reach the spot?
The truck and trailer need a path at least 10 feet wide, with firm ground and no low branches or wires under about 13 feet. A field that is dry in August can be soft in May. Walk the route with the venue and send us photos before booking.
How many restrooms for the guest list?
Plan 1 toilet per 50 guests over 4 hours, plus 1 more for every 4 with an open bar. A 150-guest reception with a bar over 5 hours needs 5 toilets: a 3-stall trailer plus 2 flushing units works well. Add 1 wheelchair-accessible unit if older guests attend.

What else gets missed?
Couples most often forget to light the path to the restrooms after dark and to put a hand-washing station near the bar. They also skip a sign telling guests where to go. A string of lights and a chalkboard sign solve most of it. Restrooms should be set by Thursday or Friday before the rehearsal.
